Played the game for a few hours so far guys, great concept. I'd be a big fan of this particular type of game having played other titles with similar mechanics and there's a few ideas I think might add more depth into the game.
Misc.
1. Please Sort out the zoning issue at the moment where zones must be perfect squares/rectangles because it doesn't recognise additional segments added next to existing zones! (Imagine an L shaped room )
I'll add more to this list as I think of them because this game has serious potential!

- Give students a hidden "mischief" need or something, the higher it gets the more likely they are to act out and say cause trouble or whatever. ( Go places they aren't meant to etc. ) Then introduce a type of staff member or student like a hall monitor that can catch them when they're acting out, and have a policy screen for different punishments. E.g. Sneaking into faculty lounge could be two days detention.
- Definitely add some type of sport society/club into the game. It's a school simulator so while you're not going to have players playing the matches surely they could buy equipment/training grounds and have random students join up, simulate the matches off screen and then allow your school to move up with grants and the likes? Could do the same for academic things or whatever, it's more building onto societies than anything.
- Maybe give students a chance to join a "group/clique/stereotype" such as a Jock/nerd/rebel, whatever have it play out in the mechanics in which the students interact etc.
- Add a recess yard, definitely needed instead of congregating in the canteen.
- Increase random events such as a student pulling the fire alarm, or state testing randomly shows up and that determines some level of funding for the school.
