I've played the game for around an hour now and i've been enjoying it very much despite the current lack of features since i've always been into school simulator/tycoon sort of games like this and there hasn't been any really in-depth ones so far. I really want this game to be the best that it can be so i have some suggestions that you can take into account while further developing this game As of right now, I feel like there is a lack of micromanagement in the game for players like me who like to micromanage every possible part of their school in order to ensure efficiency. For example, I would like to be able to change the schedule of each class such that there would be different lunch periods for example so that the cafeteria would not be super crowded during the common lunch time. I feel like this would be a good way to add more depth to this game and make it more hands-on for the players. Another idea that I have is to allow players to play another school system. Currently, each teacher is assigned to one class and that teacher teaches all the subjects for the said class. However in other parts of the world, each teacher specializes in one subject, say history, and teachs that certain subject to multiple classes and the staff would be split into different departments based on the subjects that they teach and there would be lead teachers within the department that conduct meetings to share lesson material (that would increase staff satisfaction and morale). I think that with this feature, the game would have more depth to it since players would have to carefully arrange the schedules of teachers, such that while the teacher is not overworked, he is also teaching sufficient classes for the school to make a profit. You might also want to include a feature that checks whether he has too many classes consecutively as that would make the teacher more tired out. Teachers can even have lunch times in the cafeteria!!You can also take into account the number of different levels (freshman, sophomore, etc.) that the teacher teaches. You could make it so that the teacher's effectiveness is lower when he teaches one class of every level compared to when he teaches say 4 classes for one level as the former would need him to prepare 4 different sets of lesson materials while the latter would allow him to reuse the same materials for 4 classes. This is also a good way to factor in the teachers' satisfaction level (too many classes would make the teacher unhappy and cause his effectiveness to decrease). The game could also take into account the class size and use that to gauge a certain teacher's effectiveness. The teacher's can also have their own special traits. For example, some of them could prefer to teach freshman students while others prefer seniors or some of them are stricter, which could have a negative or positive effect on the students' movitation. The current system is good but for me it feels like it is just a matter of hiring the best teacher, assigning him to a class and that's it. Maybe my suggestion is too micromanagement for the player but that's just my two cents on how the game can be improved. The game has been wonderful so far and has great potential to become better! Another suggestion would be to have more 'event venues' of sorts such as lecture theatres or halls so that events can be initiated by say students in clubs or even the player themselves (career talks? Graduation party? there are just so many possibilities!) and clubs can certainly have more depth to it than just building a room for students to sit in. There can be many different clubs which require different equipment or rooms and besides regular classes, teachers can be assigned to certain clubs to either train or just overlook the members to ensure their well-being (this is what happens here where i live). Another interesting feature would be to accept trainee teachers who tag along to senior teachers in the school. The trainee teachers would increase the senior teacher's workload slightly but after they complete their training program, they could start serving in the school for less salary. Im suggesting this feature since right now teachers seem like an unlimited resource that come from nowhere (staff in almost every game works like this haha). And I think that together with staff, students should be more difficult to get too. As of now, a classroom desk is all that is needed to get a student. However, there are so many possibilities for ways of getting students. For example, we can have a reputation system based on the grades of the school, achievement of the clubs within the school, satisfaction of the students, and so much more! We can even assign students and teachers to promote the school to students about to graduate from other schools! Oh and please please allow irregular rooms that are not rectangular it is limiting my creative ability since i can't build rooms that are not strictly a rectangle. These are just some of the suggestions that I have. I'm looking forward to what talented developers like you can bring to an already wonderful game! Thank you!
